PTWA

Today was uneventful for Scott (due to major flooding)... but very eventful for me! We had our first PGA Tour Wives Association  event.  I've been looking forward to being a part of things like this since the very beginning of Scott's career.  He gets to walk out his dream on the golf course while I get to walk out mine through all of the volunteer opportunities in each community.

Today we went to Kamakau Elementary School and hung out with 130+ kids.  We partnered with a program called Blessings in a Backpack, which we will partner with several times throughout the year.
This unique program is designed to feed elementary school children whose families qualify for the federal free and reduced meal program, and may not have any or enough food on the weekends. Better test scores, improved reading skills, positive behavior, improved health and increased attendance have all been attributed to the success of this program.

The program is pretty cool and you can check them out here.  Stan Curtis, the founder of the program, flew in  today to hang out with us. He's a great man with a big heart...

It was a blast!  I can't wait to see what other great things the association has planned for the year!

On a side note... tomorrow the weather is suppose to be horrible.  We will be surprised if golf gets played.
Stay tuned.
