Giving Back

Scott climbed the large hills today as he played and practiced. The course is quite hilly. I know he's exhausted.

I spend the day with some sweet kids at the children's hospital. A few players, the golf channel and I spent several hours playing games and doing crafts with some of the children. We also had an awesome magician that the tournament flew in from Nashville.

Tonight we are headed to the casino and are watching Joe Nichols and the Eli Young Band.

Overall, good day.

Hello Pittsburg and Hello Mylan Classic!

Thank you Knoxville!

Scott and I feel so unbelievably blessed.  The support we have received this week has been unimaginable.  We are so thankful for all of you!  The experience of playing at home was an experience we never will forget.
The festivities started one week ago with a junior clinic and continued with pro ams, a shootout and four tournament rounds.  Playing at home is not the most relaxing time but it is a time of encouragement.  Thank you to every sponsor and volunteer that made this event possible...
Without you there would not be a Knoxville News Sentinel Open and we could not play at home.  Thank you to everyone that came out to support us...all of the old and new faces!
We cannot say thank you enough.

We will be leaving Knoxville tomorrow and will not return until the season has been completed.  Our next stop...Pittsburg!
The journey continues.

I love you. You are my best friend.
Today I give myself to you in marriage.
I promise to encourage and inspire you, to laugh with you,
and to comfort you in times of sorrow and struggle.
I promise to love you in good times and in bad,
when life seems easy and when it seems hard,
when our love is simple, and when it is an effort.
I promise to cherish you, and to always hold you in highest regard
These things I give to you today, and all the days of our life.
love, jen

Ahh... There is no place like home... there is no place like home!! Hooray for being home!!!! :)

Unfortunately this morning I had one of those moments where you wake up and forget where you are. I was glad when I realized that I was in my own bed! There's nothing better...
I finally got six weeks of mail and laundry caught up. It's overwhelming to come home to that much mail.  I'm sure our mail lady hates us.

Scott is already gone.... but he was unbelievably exicted to go. He's up in Banner Elk, North Carolina playing in a Pro-Member tournament at Diamond Creek. Yes, he was still excited to play golf after six straight weeks. Can you imagine loving something that much?! He'll be back late, late Friday night.  Saturday, he's going to play my photo assistant and help me take some  pictures.  I'm sure he's excited about that too... ha! Sunday, the Knoxville News Open events begin! The busiest week of his life....

Please check out the tournament website at www.knsopen.com
Come check out the event and support Knoxville while doing it! All ticket sales are going to charity... therefore... please don't call us about tickets. We don't have them nor are we getting them.
Please support the community by purchasing your tickets this year!

We look forward to seeing all of you out there!! Thanks for all of your support, as always. We are truly blessed by all yall! :)

Random. But check out this adorable pictures of our niece from this mornings shoot!

I almost forgot! Another pink day here on tour.....

Springfield, final day...

Tee time 9:24 today. 18 holes stands between us and the drive home. We are going to make it to Memphis tonight and finish on Monday.
What's the last six weeks looked like? 45 days on, 3 days off...
One missed cut in six events. A top five and a top ten. Not a bad stretch at all! A strong finish today and we'll see if we can add to those statistics.

One can dream...

If we could transfer this to Harden Valley, I'm pretty sure I just found our dream house....

We scooted in my the skin of our teeth! Scott birdied the last hole to make the cut on the number. He didn't give up though he said he thought about it several times yesterday. Early start this morning, 7:18, with a good friend Keegan. This is the group to watch if you want to see some long hitters!
Half our family is headed to the beach today. Wish we could we there with y'all! Have a blast!
Two more good days then home or TWO WEEKS!!!

Springfield, day 2

Well... I can promise that this week can only get better! We've had a rough run this week and have already moved from housing and into a hotel. It's all about experiences! :)

Scott's new golf bag arrived and now he doesn't have to walk around with one with a hole in the bottom. Although, I believe it was good for him.

It's hard to believe but this week is hotter than last week. At least last week the wind blew (even if it felt like a warm hairdryer). This week....no wind, just hot.

Looking forward to a great week and then HOME! :)

Springfield, day 1

Today we are in Springfield, MO. We are wrapping up our six week stretch this week, hopefully with a great finish.
We are headed home Sunday night/Monday and will be home for a week (actually 2 bc he'll play in Knoxville the following week). Then, we begin the last long journey of the year...10 weeks!
I cannot believe how quickly the time flies!!

Wichita, Wichita, Wichita.... Ugh!

We are on week 5 of 6 and I'm pretty sure 5 has been our longest stretch to date. I can tell you that living out of your car and suitcase for this long gets pretty old. I'm looking forward to going home to sleep in my bed, with my pillow.

Scott played well today... So well that he decided to play again this afternoon with our host. He had a long, hot day but don't feel bad for him... He chose half of it.
He tees off tomorrow at 9:42 and is playing with one of my personal favorites... John Reigger (sarcastic tone). Two more good rounds here and off to Springfield.

Quest for the Card

Rumor has it that Scott is on the Quest for the Card which airs again tonight at 11:30 on the golf channel.
Haven't seen it... Don't know what it is... Feel free to check it out.

108 degrees

Another hot, hot, hot day here in Wichita. Scott is off at 1:30 for the proam today and at 12:50 tomorrow.

Location:N Rock Rd,Wichita,United States

Monday, August 2, 2010

We arrived in Wichita earlier today.  We have nice housing close to the course again... which is a great, great thing. I'm not going to lie though... currently I am not a fan of this place.  I can honestly say that I am the hottest I have ever been in my whole life.  Wichita's heat is the kind that makes it difficult to even breathe... can't wait. The temps for the next couple of days are over 100 degrees and I cannot wait to see what that makes the heat index.  These are some of the not so fun parts of golf.  I can bet there will be several caddies that pass out this week.... fun, fun.

Go Piller!!

Here's to you Martin! Congrats!!

YouTube Video

Pretty happy with today. Can't complain. Scott sunk an amazing 65 foot, hard breaking putt that stopped right on the edge before it fell in for eagle on 17.

Between the back nine yesterday and front nine today Scott shot a 59. Pretty darn good.

We are headed to Wichita tomorrow to start all over again. On to week 5 of 6. Looking forward to my bed....
