first tournament, first cut.... success.

Scott tees off tomorrow around 10 something local time. That will be about four something yalls time. I believe the golf channel will have some coverage of the event on Saturday morning but I'm not too sure about that.

Everyone is doing great and loving Queenstown!

Amazing.

We arrived in Queenstown, NZ a little after 11 am, yesterday.  I cannot explain how beautiful this place is and will try to upload pictures soon (although they will not do this place justice). The South Island is much  more beautiful than the North.

We are out at the course today.  Everyone sleep really well and feels great.  We have no had any trouble adjusting.  The flights over were great.  Air New Zealand is very nice.  Our hotel is not like anything I've ever seen.  Our view is of the water and the gorgeous mountains.  It stays light outside from 0500-1000. It's ridiculous!

We have having a blast and so blessed to be here. I promise to get pictures up soon.

New Zealand BOUND!!

Boys having a blast!

The boys had a blast at Titleist. Both facilities were unbelievable apparently and the technology incredible. I saw the Scotty Cameron studio when I went to pick them up. It was really cool and I even found the golf stuff interesting. They wouldn't allow pictures in there which is understandable. Scott loves all of his new toys but lives his UT putte probably the best. I was surprise that he didn't sleep with it last night!

Rain.

We thought CA was suppose to be warm and sunny.
We found out that is NOT the case. It is pouring here.

I learned how great In and Out Burger is though!

Scott is super excited to be at Titleist today. He is doing clubs this morning and working in the Scotty Cameron studio this afternoon. I guess that must be every golfers dream?! I'm sure we will have some pictures on the blog and website tonight or tomorrow.

Overwhelmed with Gratitude

Last night the Oak Ridge Country Club held a really nice for reception for Scott. We were both taken back by the turnout. It was truly unexpected and very humbling. ORCC has been a huge part of Scott's life. It truly was (and sometimes still is) his second home. They will never truly know how thankful we are to them. I always tease Scott that he fell in love with me there the Summer of 11th grade when I was a lifeguard. He's a little to prideful to admit that at this point. ha! :)

Seriously though, we are very, very thankful for the support that they give both Scott and myself.
To know that people arere behind you and care about you means a lot.

Thank you ORCC!

A good friend of mine offered some great advice.  I believe this is relevant for everyone in every situation. She has been such a blessing to me and I look forward to getting to know her better.  I don’t think she reads are blog but if she does… she’ll know… this is for you! J

Snow in Tennessee, Shorts in Florida.

Scott is currently in Florida practicing his tail off getting ready for the season. The ground is frozen at home so he has to head south.
I appologize if you try an get a hold of him. He is busy, busy, busy. He will be returning calls on Monday when he gets home.

The new addition to the White family is doing really well. She is such a sweet little girl and I am thrilled to be home to spend some time with them!!! :)

new year, new mindset

I’ve been thinking about this post for a while now.  I have written several different drafts but in the end I am starting new, again.

We have been in a whirlwind ever since Qschool finished.  We have had to learn some hard, hard lessons but they are lessons that we will need for the future.  Even though they have been hard to handle both individually and as a couple, overall we are thankful for them.  It has brought Scott and me closer and stronger.  We have learned first hand how quickly our joy can be stolen.  God has blessed us beyond belief but through that blessing we have seen the enemy attack us and try to steal that joy from this new adventure.  Unfortunately, most of this time off we have aloud him to do so.  That stops today.
All of you know that the golf community has been rocked by stuff going on with Tiger Woods.  It’s a very sad situation.  Unfortunately, that is not an uncommon thing in professional golfers’ lives (not all of course but a surprising amount).  As sad as that is, it’s true.  The golf world needs the light to shine through the darkness.  We pray that we can help that light shine.
I wish we could say that we are all ready for to leave and that all of the business stuff taken care of but at least it is getting closer.  We are praying that in the next couple of days that things will fall into place so that Scott can focus solely on practicing.  We know that God will provide what is necessary for us in the next season and we pray that we will ultimately make decisions that glorify Him. We are so excited to begin this new journey and look forward to all that is to come.

lack of posts.

I haven't written much on the blog lately and there is a reason for that... I try to be really honest about what is going on with us throughout this journey and I am not about stop.  This blog is great because it helps me keep people involved with what is going on with us but it also is therapy for me.

At the moment and for the last several weeks we have experienced things that we never dreamed would happen.  I am trying to wait to write about it until all of the dust settles... but I can only hold off so long.

Sorry for the lack of posts but I felt that was best for Scott and I at this time.  More to come soon.
