Round 1

Scott played a solid round today. He didn't have many close birdie putts but did manage to make a 50ft birdie putt (very exciting!!). Steve (our host for the week) carried the bag for Scott today and did an awesome job!

Sorry I'm slacking. The leaderboard this week is located at www.hooterstour.com and the event is savannah lakes. Pictures will be up tonight.

Final Round, NC

Scott plays tomorrow at 0840. Although we were excited with at 63 on Thursday, he did not play his best. We are hoping for it tomorrow!!

After the he finishes tomorrow Scott and I will head to Pigeon Forge, TN for the night. Monday afternoon/evening we will head to McCormick, SC for the next Hooters event. We are excited for that event because it is definitely one of the best events of the year.
We have discovered on our days off, Scott does really well getting away from the game by giving golf lessons. We all went out and had a blast.

One short

Scott came back today from a tough day yesterday but was unable to pull it back enough. He missed the cut by one shot. This is the first missed cut of the year after six tournaments.

We will head to Valdosta to get ready for the Nationwide Monday tomorrow. I will post pictures from Royal Lakes once we get there.

Royal Lakes

news... finally

Scott played 15 holes today in the Monday Qualifier. He will not finish tomorrow and instead head to the Hooters event. If he were to birdie the rest of the way in, he still would be in a playoff with 10 other guys for 2 spots. He decided that he would rather focus on the Hooters event.

more delays

there have been further delays today. scott will tee off at 410pm this afternoon. ill post what's going on once I get there this afternoon. if scott does not finish today, he will go back out and finish tomorrow.

Course, unplayable

Well, if you've been reading the blog you can tell that bad weather tends to follow Scott and myself. Currently the weather in Athens has done just that... The Monday qualifier is now moved to Tuesday because of the weather. Tune in tomorrow for the results of the Nationwide qualifier.

Happy Easter!

"I know you're looking for Jesus, the One they nailed to the cross. He is not here. He was raised, just as he said..." -Matthew 28:6

Currently, Scott is in Athens, GA. Tomorrow he will Monday qualify for the Nationwide event there. He tees off at 1:24. If Scott gets in, Clay (his caddy) and I will be joining him in Athens. If he does not get in, Clay and I will meet Scott in Atlanta, GA for the Hooters event.

For those of you who look at the blog just for golf... ignore the pictures below!

there's no place like home...

I am thrilled to be home. I know for Scott it is kinda a whirlwind. He went to Augusta, GA Monday and Tuesday, so he was very excited to have that opportunity. He will also be in Chattanooga Thursday and Friday this week.

I am home with our nephew. For those of you who know me well, know that's all I want!! I am thankful that I was home yesterday to be with my dad who is still struggling to figure out what exactly is wrong with his heart.

We are both happy to see our families for a week before we start a long stretch. We are coming up on a four week stretch. I'll keep everyone posted as it begins. In the mean time... enjoy a picture of our adorable nephew!

We finally got to play

After sitting in the lovely Jameson Inn of Pooler Ga for two solid days. We finally got to play. The tournament was cut to only 36 holes due to about 8 inches of rain over two days. I played at 940 this morning and with the help of Jen on the bag for her first apperance of the year, I shot a 67 and finished tied for third. Jen personally thinks she did all the work, but we will just her think that.

Sunny Saturday

Scott will play his final round of Savannah Quarters tomorrow. The tour has decided that this event will only be 36 holes due to the weather.

http://tarheel.bluegolf.com/bluegolf/tarheel9/event/tarheel93/contest/1/leaderboard.htm

Scott tees off tomorrow at 0940. Once he finishes, we will head HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOME!

Windy and Humid

Rumor has it that they are making the Savannah Quarters event 36 holes. I honestly have know idea right now what time Scott will tee off, if he even tees off today. Regardless, tournament ends tomorrow. We are heading home for a week after the completion of this event.

Keep checking www.tarheeltour.com for more details.

stuck in savannah with nothing to do...

As Jen just posted, I will not play today. The storm that they thought was going be here yesterday, came today, and boy did it come. The end of the first round will resume tomorrow with the hopes of getting everybody finished with one full round. We will then go one to the second round that at this rate will begin on saturday. checkout tarheeltour.com for more details. -scott

Thursday, Rain.

Scott will not be playing at all today. The afternoon group from yesterday did not finish their round and were/are suppose to finish it today. As far as I know they have not even begun to resume play, yet. Some guys from yesterday still have 13 holes to play of their first round.

A tornado has touched down somewhere close to the golf course this morning. Scott and I have a feeling that they may cancel the whole tournament. We do not have official word on that yet. I'll keep the blog updated when we learn new information.

Slip n Slide

Today, I am my father's daughter. I'm out here in my hiking boots and all quick dry clothes (if he were here I bet we'd look awfully similar except for the Life is Good shirt...ha! ). The course is soaked but for the moment the rain has stopped.

They are playing on a three hour delay as of now. The rain chances are still high and it is suppose to rain until Saturday. There is no way everyone will finish. The last tee time before the delay was at 2:40 (with delay now 5:40pm). Tomorrow Scott will tee off around two.

The leaderboard should be up in a couple of hours at www.tarheeltour.com
The event this week is called Savannah Quarters.

P.S. Steve and Linda we may need you to pick us up in your boat if the rain continues.
