the storm is coming.

The Flood is Coming...

Guess what?? Rain tomorrow. Rumor has it that the guys most likely won't get to play their first round tomorrow. The radar is showing yellow over the golf course, yellow. I'm pretty sure that's heavy rain.

The event this week is Wed-Sat. That is different than usual. Ill post a leaderboard link if they play tomorrow.

Scott really likes the course this week. He says it is a lot like Tennessee National in Loudon, TN.

This week we have also found one of our best hotel deals (those of you who know me know how cheap I am....oops I mean frugal, as my mom would say). Finding deals on hotels is one of the challenging games we play each week.

Savannah Quarters

We are heading out again on Monday to Savannah, GA., a Tarheel event. Scott is excited to be playing again.

The Knoxville News Sentinel wrote a nice article about Scott today. I will attach the link:

Home for awhile.

We arrived at home this morning at 0230 and have slept for most of the day. It is nice to unpack after four weeks of living in a suitcase.

We are home until Monday and will head to a Tarheel Tour Event in Savannah, GA.

Scott's birthday is tomorrow, 25th, so I am kinda excited to be home for it... though he is not! :)

p.s.I am freaking exhausted-scott

14 Hours HOME

You can follow the path or create your own.

Well, we are creating our own...This year we have decided to give ourselves as many opportunities as we can to advance. We are chasing the Nationwide Tour.

We were home just long enough to sleep in our own bed, do some laundry and get new tires. We are now on the way (11 hours) to Louisiana for a Nationwide qualifier.

Well... we are in Pinehurst, NC now and it is raining. I have seen enough rain to last long time. This week Scott is playing in a Tarheel event from Wed-Fri. I will post a link to the leaderboard on Wednesday.

Final Round Canceled

Hooters has canceled the final round of Rock Springs Ridge due to an unplayable golf course. Scott finished 2nd.

Monday we will head to Pinehurst, NC for a Tarheel Tour event.

Ugh...

Today is a nasty, nasty day. We started the morning at about 38 degrees and steady rain.

Scott teed off at 0940 and was called off the course on #7 at 1230 due to standing water. They resumed play at 300. I am currently sitting in the clubhouse.

The current temp outside has to be close to freezing (hense why I did not continue on the miserable journey when play continued).

The rain has died down now to only a light drizzel. I will be shocked if everyone finishes today. I guess if that's the case then we will be out here early tomorrow beforewe begin the final round.

Scott's caddy, his friend John, has been such a trooper. The conditions are awful yet he is still out there cheering Scott on all of the way!

Tomorrows weather is suppose to be much better. I think it's suppose to be at least 10 degrees warmer and less of a chance of rain. We'll see how Scott's mental toughness is when he finishes. :)

Mental Toughness

'Focus on what you can control,' that's what Scott and Rob talk about. Today, that is what he did... Even with the high today of 38 degrees and rain, Scott played strong with the lowest round of the day, 67.

Days like today is why I have a lot of clothes!

Scott may give me a hard time for shopping as much as I do on occassion but today is the perfect example of why I do! The high today feels like 34 degrees. Currently, I am wearing everything I own. People think that Under Armour is warms... well if you know Scott... he's wearing two cold gear shirts! He's never cold so please note that it must be freezing.
Regardless of the weather Scott seems realy excited to play. He knows what he has to do to climb up the leaderboard and get himself into a good position. He tees off at 1:24 today. Please send me warm thoughts!! :)

Brr..

If you look at the leaderboard you can tell that the score are unusual. The weather today was not the best... maybe it wouldn't have been so bad if it wasn't for the wind. The wind was brutal. Many guys as it looks didn't finish today. They should start early to finish their round from today. Tomorrow the weather is less promising than it was today. It is suppose to be cold (high of 39), windy, and RAIN. So... we'll see what happens with the scores.

Rock Springs Ridge

Scott tees off tomorrow 0839. They weather people are calling for rain... lots of rain. Again, the leaderboard will be posted tomorrow afternoon at www.hooterstour.com

Goodbye good weather...

We are in Hickory, NC this week. Scott really likes the course and he now feels very confident in his golf swing. Apparently the course is extremely hilly because I heard all of the guys complaining about it. Lots of guys are looking for caddies because it is such a hard course to walk. Thankfully, Scott has a caddy this week and it's not me!!! :) Hooray! We are staying with a friend here and he is very excited to be on the bag with Scott this week (although the talk of the push cart had Scott a little concerned).

We are both looking forward to a great week. Tomorrow is Pro-Am and the tournament begins on Thursday. The link for the leaderboard will be on www.hooterstour.com on Thursday afternoon. The weather this week isn't going to be the best... they are calling for LOTS of cold weather and rain. Hopefully they will be able to get all 72 holes in and if they don't then they will shorten the tournament.

From one event to another...

We are back in Knoxville for the night before heading to Hickory, NC tomorrow. Scott finished up the Amelia Island event not exactly how he would have liked. He struggled more than usual with his driver this week. Scott's putting is still much better than last year. Yesterday, hit seemed to putt really well unfortunately the ball just never went in. He is getting a lesson today before we leave tomorrow. I think he finished tied for 30th or somewhere in there. Being the first real event of the year we are trying not to complain too much. :) With our lifestyle, you cannot dwell too much on the past so all we can do is get ready for this next event.

Darkness

Scott was not able to finish his round today because there was not enough light. He and Clay will finish their round tomorrow at 0730 and begin their next 18 at 0821.

Scott and Clay

Amelia Island Plantation

The tournament begins today. Scott begins around 1:00. As of now the tour has not posted a leaderboard but as the day goes on it should be available.

Clay may be here to STAY!

It is Tuesday night here in Amelia Island, Florida and we are excited to get underway here in a few days.

This week we have an incredible family that we are staying with, the Justice's. We have been very blessed. There is a picture of Frank a photo above.

I have worked with the new caddy Clay for the last few days and have began to find a good rhythm with him.

We played our first practice round today, which went really well a little cold but nothing too terrible.

We will play in the Pro-Am tomorrow and get one more good luck at the course before we start on Thursday at 1:21 PM.

We have posted a few pictures of Clay and I throughout our first few days here, hope you enjoy. Things are going very well, we are looking forward to a great week.
